MIA

Ya, sorry.  I’ve been sort of MIA the past few days.  I’ve had a few things going on and just didn’t make the time to get on here and blog.  Although, I think that statement in it’s self is a good blog post.  Without really having this topic on my mind, here goes nothing!

“I don’t have time.”  “I don’t have the money.”  “I’m not in shape enough yet.”  Ok, the last one is more directed toward fitness, but the first two can be used for anything really.  Excuses, that’s all they really are.  I’ve made them, still do.  Everyone does, and I’m not faulting anyone for it.  Honestly, if I really don’t want to do something, I’ll find any excuse not to do it.  Excuses are easy! I don’t have the time/money is by far the most common when it comes to the fitness world.  I’ve been in it long enough to have heard it a few thousand times.  It’s the same people that make these excuses that will watch 4-6 hours of TV a night because they “have to” catch up on the latest mind numbing reality show or The Walking Dead (and I loves me some walking dead) and then go out every Friday or Saturday night and drink their faces off after a nice dinner somewhere.  It’s always a choice, few people will own up to it and vehemently defend their position of “not having time/money”.  And that’s fine.  I really don’t have a problem with it.  Just own up to it.  Realize the choice words that you’re using, and really decide if that’s the truth.  I’ve met very few people who honestly don’t have the time/money, and I’m not saying that they don’t exist because they really do, I’m just saying that the mass majority of people choose not to spend time/money on their health.  So, going back to what I said, “I didn’t make the time to get on here and blog.”  No excuses, no reasons, I could absolutely make them.  But it wouldn’t be honest with you or myself and I won’t lie anymore.  I just haven’t done it.  I could have, but I didn’t.  Next time if I don’t want to go out or whatever, if I don’t want to go, no excuses.  “No thanks, I’m staying in tonight.”  Just be honest.  The truth is much simpler to remember than a lie.  Just my random thoughts for the day.
