Hands On

I was thinking about how we’ve become so dependent on automated devices.  Dishwashers, drip systems, microwaves, coffee makers (even though I love mine), etc.  I feel like there’s a part of me that misses the hands on aspect of those things.  Getting my hands dirty and getting involved in the process instead of disconnected from it.  Washing the dishes by hand sucks, I’m not going to lie.  But I feel like when I’m done cooking and eating, it’s like completing the project or something.  I was out watering my garden the other day and thinking about how much more I feel connected to my future food because I’m actually putting in the work to make it grow.  I can’t wait to try out all 5 of my different tomatoes!  Seriously, who plants FIVE different tomatoes?!  Oh ya, I do.  Be sure to get ready for a lot of free tomatoes for everyone.  Anyway, I guess what I’m trying to encourage you to do is, get more hands on with the things in your life.  Do your dishes.  Cook your food from scratch.  Chop your own veggies.  Make your own pour over or french press coffee (trust me on this one.  Philz is the best coffee in the world and that’s all they do.)  Water your garden, the fruit will be so much sweeter.

    What a workout today! I was 3 jumps and 1 sandbag carry short of 5 rounds. However, I did tuck V-ups. Couldn’t do the regular ones!! Didn’t do Double Unders either, just Single Skips, 60 at a time.
