I’m out!!!

Yup, I’m out of here.  I’ll be on the east cost paddle boarding, sipping on pina coladas (probably just beer, but that sounds so much better, doesn’t it?) and enjoying the white sandy beaches of Tampa Bay.  How do you like them apples?

The Suck

Ya I’m going to get on a soapbox here briefly, as I can do.  It sucks, sometimes more than others, working out.  Well I hate to tell you, it doesn’t get easier, you just get better.  But you have to do the work, put in the time, and make the effort before that can happen.

I know sometimes you ask yourself, “Why in the world am I doing this?”  The answer is somewhat simple, “To be fitter, stronger.  To feel better, live longer.  And to be better at life in general.”  It’s that simple.  You gotta go through the suck.  So suck it up and do the work, it’s only a workout!  Nothing good comes easy.  I never said this would be easy…

Daily Dose and Dots!

After a good warm up,

4 Rounds For Time:
Run 400 meters (1/4 of a mile)
30 over head lunges.  (Put something heavy (10 to 20 pounds) over your head by locking out your elbows and pushing your shoulders up into your ears like a big shrug; sandbag, suitcase full of stuff, box of somethings, small child (don’t do that)…)

    Chris, Becca and I met at the park and worked out together but we modified this workout a bit! Sorry!! 400 meters is two times around, right? So we did that but then held the sandbags in our arms at chest height as over the head did not work for us! I did my 4 rounds in 25:27. My legs felt like jelly when I was finished. Was that your goal? If so, it worked!!
